about

Originally featured on Tha TruthTella's mixtape, Worldwide Souljaz Vol. 3: Revenge of Tha Truth (thatruthtella.bandcamp.com/album/worldwide-souljaz-vol-3-revenge-of-tha-truth). I've always been a huge fan of Stanley Kubrick, and especially A Clockwork Orange, so some of that made its way into the hook, obviously. The verses are pretty abstract, but they deal with a lot of ideas that float around in my head most of the time about religion and its influence on people. The third verse was originally written for a collaborative track (never finished or released) with Accidence from my old crew, Matching Wits (he also designed the album's artwork). "The body is a temple, my ink the stained glass."

NOTES FOR PARENTS: This one starts off rough, admittedly, but it's really just those two curse words right at the start of the verse, and the rest of the song is clean. Has a dark and aggressive tone, though; not for the very young, perhaps.
