about

This is a song I wrote several years ago, when I had just finished reading Daniel Quinn's book, Ishmael. I just felt like the ideas put forth in the book translated well to lyrics, and I loved the big, epic beat by MCCRD (mccrd.bandcamp.com). It's a song that might take itself too seriously, but I definitely tried to avoid that, as best I could.

NOTES FOR PARENTS: This one is completely clean, and as an added bonus, quite educational. The choruses are very aggressive, though. Overall, probably best for third-graders and up, and especially for anyone first reading the book at a younger age than I did. If they're ready for the book, they're ready for the song, I'd say.
