about

One of my best pure raps, over a gorgeous beat by my man MCCRD, and featuring my old roommate Rin Keller classin' it up even further with the guest vocals on the hook.

NOTES FOR PARENTS: No curse words, but a few drug, sex and gun references. The verse is basically the first two minutes, then it's basically just a minute of completely clean chorus and two minutes of instrumental music.

On a side note: the late, great Eyedea was one of the greatest rappers to ever come out of my hometown, to say the least. The last time I got to see him in person was at the 2010 National Poetry Slam Hip-Hop open mic side event, where I had to go on after him. I did the verse from this song a cappella. I had no idea it'd be the last time, but it was an honor to share the stage with him one more time.
