Guante (guanteandbigcats.bandcamp.com) is one of my absolute favorite artists, so it was really cool of him to do a track with me. We had talked about it for a while, and it was finally this beat by the homie Automaton (aka esbe of DRS, now known as Tankhead) that really sealed the deal. It was originally going to just be two 16-bar verses with the hooks, but Guante wrote 32, and they were too good not to just loop the beat and let him take over. Unfortunately, we recorded at separate studios and when I put the track together later, Guante's verse ended up coming in slightly early, and the mistake wasn't noticed till it was too late. It was entirely my fault, and I still feel bad about it to this day. It's a testament to the quality of Guante's writing and delivery that the track still sounds so good no one notices.
